Compare the listed model applications and component specifications as well. Matching dimensions, mounting points and reference numbers provides a better basis than appearance alone.
Compare the complete reference, including any suffix, with the product details. Also check the vehicle application and dimensions; a cross-reference should support, rather than replace, the fitment check.
Use the condition stated on the individual listing. Review the description and photographs for any storage marks, wear, refurbishment or missing fittings, and check the quantity supplied.
Have the exact model, production year, engine and body style ready. Add the old part's reference number, measurements and clear photographs of its connectors or mounting points where possible.
